The test site is located in the Jiubing Planting Base, Jiantan Town, Ganzhou District, Zhangye City, Gansu Province, China. The planting variety is Red Marshal. According to the local environmental and climatic conditions (long sunshine variety, with a growth period of 120~150 days), it is an excellent variety suitable for the local environment. This variety has a class of commonly used vegetables with strong adaptability, large size, good quality, high yield, easy management, transportation and storage resistance. The geographical coordinates are 38 ° 51 ′ 20 ″ north latitude and 100 ° 36 ′ 32 ″ east longitude. The experimental site is 50 mu in total, which is divided into two different treatments A and B. Treatment A is 25 mu, and Treatment B is 25 mu. Planting time: April 25, 2020; onion harvest time (field test time): September 25, 2020.

The climate environment of the test field is short and hot in summer, long and cold in winter, dry and little rain, uneven distribution of precipitation, large temperature difference between day and night, annual average temperature 4.1~8.3 ℃, and annual temperature difference 26~32 ℃. The average maximum temperature is 14.3 ℃. The average annual precipitation is 112.3~354.0mm, with an average of 197.2mm. The average annual evaporation is 1672.1~2358.4 mm. The annual sunshine duration is 2789~3103 hours, and the frost free period is 140~174 days. The soil of the test field is sandy soil. The previous crop is corn. The irrigation method is drip irrigation. The main farming method is the combination of machinery and manpower. The fertilization method is base fertilizer and drip irrigation. The planting method is one crop a year. The row spacing for planting onion is 15cm, the plant spacing is 15cm, the border width is 1.6m, and about 23000 plants are planted per mu.

Test fertilizers: Yuantaifeng active organic fertilizer, Taifeng soil ecological conditioner, chemical fertilizer formula fertilizer.

Main components and content of Yuantaifeng active organic fertilizer: active organic matter ≥ 80%, available nutrients (N+P2O5+K2O) ≥ 5%, and beneficial viable bacteria ≥ 100 million/g. Main components and content of Taifeng soil ecological conditioner: effective active bacteria ≥ 200 million/ml. Fertilizer formula: diammonium+potassium fertilizer+nitrogen fertilizer+monoammonium phosphate+diammonium phosphate+calcium magnesium fertilizer.

The test is divided into two different treatments (Table 1), which are respectively represented as A and B. In order to ensure the accuracy, reliability and scientificity of the test, the two treatments are separated from each other to prevent fertilizer leakage between treatments, and to ensure that the daily planting management methods are consistent. Three test points are randomly selected for each treatment. Each test point is 1m long and 1.6m wide, that is, 1.6m in area ²。

According to the market price of 1500 yuan/ton (equivalent to 1.5 yuan/kg), the output per mu of treatment A is 8720kg/mu, and the total income per mu is 13080 yuan; The yield per mu of treatment B is 7910kg/mu, and the total income per mu is 11865 yuan; The income per mu of treatment A was 1215 yuan more than that of treatment B, and the cost of fertilizer and pesticide was 560 yuan more than that of treatment B. From this, it was known that the net profit per mu of treatment A was 655 yuan higher than that of treatment B (the rent of plot, onion seedling, plastic film, drip irrigation, labor and other costs were the same).

From the perspective of the agronomic characteristics of onion, the emergence rate of onion with chemical fertilizer is low, resulting in the reduction of the number of bulbs, different sizes, weak plant growth, poor root growth, poor uniformity, and poor quality of onion. Compared with the onion with Yuantaifeng active organic fertilizer, the onion plant is strong, the root system is developed, the hairy root is more, and the bulb size is uniform, which greatly improves the commodity rate; It reflects that Yuantaifeng active organic fertilizer plays a role in promoting root and seedling, improving quality and efficiency in the whole growth cycle of crops. Through the comparative test of different fertilization treatments, Yuantaifeng Active Organic Fertilizer can not only reduce the use of chemical fertilizer by more than 35%, but also increase the yield of onion by 10.24% per mu and the net profit per mu by 655 yuan compared with the use of chemical formula fertilizer alone. Therefore, the increase of Yuantaifeng Active Organic Fertilizer can greatly increase the commodity value of onion and bring considerable economic benefits to farmers.
