The test site is located in the millet pepper planting base in Shajing Town, Ganzhou District, Zhangye City, Gansu Province, China. The geographical coordinates are 39°10′36″ north latitude and 100°31′31″ east longitude. The experimental field has a total of 7.8 mu, which is divided into two different treatments, A and B. The A treatment is 6 mu, and the B treatment is 1.8 mu. The climate environment of the test field is short and hot in summer, long and cold in winter, dry and less rainy, and the precipitation is unevenly distributed, with a large temperature difference between day and night. The average maximum temperature is 14.3°C. The annual average precipitation ranges from 112.3 to 354.0mm, with an average of 197.2mm. The annual average evaporation is 1672.1-2358.4mm. The annual sunshine hours are 2789-3103 hours, and the average frost-free period is 140-174 days. The soil quality of the experimental field is sandy soil, the previous crop is corn, the irrigation method is drip irrigation, and the main farming method is machine-planted millet pepper with a row spacing of 15-20cm, a plant spacing of 45-50cm, a furrow width of 80cm, and nearly 3,000 plants per mu.

Test fertilizers: Yuantaifeng active organic fertilizer, Taifeng soil ecological conditioner, chemical fertilizer formula fertilizer. The main components and content of Yuantaifeng active organic fertilizer: active organic matter ≥ 80%, available nutrients (N + P2O5 + K2O) ≥ 5%, beneficial viable bacteria ≥ 100 million/g. Main components and content of Taifeng soil ecological conditioner: effective active bacteria ≥ 200 million/ml. Chemical fertilizer formula fertilizer: urea + diammonium phosphate + monoammonium phosphate + compound fertilizer (total application rate 60kg/mu).

It can be known from Table 1 that the test is divided into two different treatments, respectively denoted as A and B, and the two treatments are separated from each other to prevent mutual fertilization between the treatments and ensure the accuracy and reliability of the test. Three test points were randomly selected for each treatment, each test point was 1.875m long and 0.8m wide, that is, the area was 1.5m², and the yield was measured during the millet pepper harvest period (October 16).

Base fertilizer: 20kg/mu monoammonium phosphate + 20kg/mu diammonium phosphate + 20kg/mu compound fertilizer in the control field, totaling 60kg/mu (180 yuan). Demonstration field 10kg/mu monoammonium phosphate + 10kg/mu diammonium phosphate + compound fertilizer 10kg/mu, a total of 30kg/mu (90 yuan), Yuantaifeng active organic fertilizer 200kg/mu, a total of 550 yuan, a total of 640 yuan.

Topdressing: After flowering, the first topdressing with balanced fertilizer 5kg/mu (36 yuan), the second topdressing with potassium nitrate 5kg/mu (45yuan), the third topdressing with balanced fertilizer 5kg/mu (22.5yuan), and the fourth topdressing High potassium fertilizer 5kg/mu (22.5 yuan). The total cost is 126 yuan, spraying 15 yuan/mu for 5 times totaling 75 yuan, and spraying 15 yuan/mu for 2 times totaling 30 yuan, totaling 231 yuan per mu. (Because the two treatments have the same topdressing and redness, the expenses will be the same.)

From the data in Table 2, in terms of the average yield traits of millet pepper during the harvest period, the average yield of treatment A is 625kg/mu, the average yield of treatment B is 510kg/mu, and the yield increase is 115kg/mu, and the yield increase rate of treatment A reaches 18.4%. The average yield index of millet pepper was effectively improved by applying Yuantaifeng active organic fertilizer.
